"As part of optometry week, November 5 - 9, my representative, David Joyce visited a local optometrist, Dr. Billi Prinzen to tour her facility in Picton and review some of the issues in her practice. Optometrists play an important role in primary care in the day-to-day delivery of vision care and eye health," said Todd Smith, MPP for Bay of Quinte. "Optometrists are in over 200 communities in every region of the province, serving over 4 million Ontarians each year. Dr. Prinzen's practice today includes over 6,000 patients with over 2,000 visits per year. She partners with her father, Dr. Mark Campbell, Optician and is joined by 3 full time staff. In Picton, there is just one other full time optometrist, Dr. Rob Locke, also with a very long patient list. With an aging demographic and rural setting, the challenges to her practice can be significant and we must look to our government to find longer term strategies to support eye care in an efficient manner."
"Great crowds at the Remembrance Day ceremonies at cenotaphs across Bay of Quinte. Thanks to Reagan and Tawnya for representing me in Belleville, Susan in Picton, David in Wellington, Jennifer in Frankford and Lacy in Consecon," said Todd Smith, MPP for Bay of Quinte. #BayOfQuinte
"Happy to stand with Premier Ford and Minister Walker to announce that our government is launching consultations with military families so we can provide them with the support that they need when moving to Ontario. Thank you to Minister Scott and MPP Lindsey Park for joining us today for this exciting announcement," said Todd Smith, MPP for Bay of Quinte.
"Thank you to Mayor Harrison and former Mayor Williams for giving us a tour of the Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial in Quinte West. Our government will keep our promise to build an Afghanistan War Memorial to honour those who gave the ultimate sacrifice," said Todd Smith, MPP for Bay of Quinte.
"A pleasure to stand with Members of Quinte Home Builders Association and Ontario Home Builders Association to discuss what Bill 47 will do for journey-persons across Ontario!
Our government is committed to creating more, better-paying jobs and making it easier for apprentices to join the work force," said Todd Smith, MPP for Bay of Quinte. #MakingOntarioOpenForBusiness
