On Monday, April 11th, I hosted my first ever Prince Edward - Hastings Day at Queen's Park. Prince Edward - Hastings day was a chance for businesses and organizations from the area to display what they have to offer to MPP's and staff at Queen's Park.
The day started with two of our local morning shows broadcasting live from the 4th floor of Queen's Park. Mark and Ingrid from 95.5 Hits FM began their show at 6 am hosting guests like Steve Paikin ' The Agenda' on TVO.

After the morning radio shows, we were joined by members of the Belleville and District Chamber of Commerce who took a tour of Queen's Park and were able to sit in on Monday's Question Period.

Throughout the day, Todd was able to film segments for this months episode of ' Straight Talk with MPP Todd Smith ' for TV Cogeco including interviews from several of the organizations who were visiting Queen's Park that day.
From 5pm until 7pm MPP's and Staff were able to go through our Prince Edward - Hastings reception room to see and taste all the riding has to offer. We were joined by 16 businesses and organizations which provided samples of some of our favourite local products including Donini Chocolate, Hawkins Cheezies, Wapoos Cider, Barley Days Brewery, and Norman Hardie, Rose Hall Run, The Grange and Huff Estate Wines. Other exhibits included Loyalist College, Belleville Chamber of Commerce, Bancroft Chamber of Commerce, History Lives Here, and the Tweed Elvis Festival.
Thank You to everyone who took part in the day, and we hope to see even more of our local businesses there next year!
